St. George C.R.O.P. Walk
a fund-raising event organized by the Interfaith Council to raise money to feed the hungry in our area and around the world

The Crop Walk is held in early November, usually running around 6 miles in length through St. George. We often assist with some of the organizational work including preparing coordinators’ envelopes, walker envelopes, posters for the coordinators to post in their churches and other promotional materials that may be available.

The Mission Committee registers Good Shepherd’s walkers, ensuring that they sign their envelopes and return them the Sunday before the walk. We process the envelopes so that all donations are recorded and turn them in to the walk treasurer at the start of the walk.

GSPC also provides one of the four “aid” stations along the route, offering granola bars and bottled water for the walkers.
